Here are some of the Cleveland Churches that we have collected artwork from. This list is updated as churches close.

The Museum of Divine Statues is designed to pay tribute not only to the art and history of Cleveland's Catholic churches, but to the city's immigrant roots. It was the sacrifice of these people that built and decorated the churches that were the heart of their communities. Italian, Irish, Bohemian, Polish, Hungarian - these are but a few of the ethnicities represented in the statuary of Cleveland's neighborhood churches.

The Museum of Divine Statues was founded to rescue, restore and display ecclesiastical statues in a museum setting that inspired reflection, and awe.
Restoration expert Louis McClung has rescued these statues from Northeast Ohio's closed Catholic churches, and supplemented that collection with statues from other churches around the country. Many of the statues were given to him as donations. Some are 100 years old - by patching plaster and generally repairing the wounds of age. After the statues are made whole, he repaints these iconic figures in historically accurate hues. When he is finished, they are returned to their original splendor, in the rich shades the original artists intended.
After the restoration process is completed, the statues are displayed in a contemplative atmosphere where visitors have the  opportunity to learn details about each statue's history, and the symbols  they are depicted with.
The museum honors the centuries-old traditions of artists who have created the statues. It also honors the religious context of theses works of art, and their place as symbols of comfort  and prayer.
